Teen Angel

In 1958 Gene wrote a song called "Teen Angel" with his friend, Dan Martin.  It was sung by George Manis and released on Eclaire Records.  In 1961 another "Teen Angel" came out and was a huge hit.

Foolish One

In 1960 Gene wrote "Foolish One" with Dennis Walton.  It was recorded by The Stompers and released while Gene was breaking horses on a farm in South Carolina.

Letter to an Angel

Gene's friend, Mel Walton, and his group, The Five Shillings, went to New York in the 50's and landed a contract with Decca Records.  Mel is the lead singer - what a voice!

The flip side of this record is The Snake sung by Mel's brother Dennis.
